This is a standalone notification feasibility test. It does not connect to or change the real Barrel Ops website, Cloudflare API or database.
Enable notifications
Allow notifications on this device. On iPhone, first install this lab from Safari using Share → Add to Home Screen, then open the new icon.
iPhone: Push notifications require opening this as an installed Home Screen web app. They do not work from an ordinary Safari tab.
Test the delivery
Send now checks real server-to-device push delivery. Send in 12 seconds gives you a chance to lock the phone before the remote push arrives. The local-only test does not prove background delivery.

What counts as success?
Tap Send real push in 12 sec, lock the phone immediately, and see whether a notification appears on the Lock Screen. Sound depends on your phone's notification settings, Silent/Focus mode and OS behavior — this web app cannot force a custom background sound.
Technical scope: encrypted standards-based Web Push, a separate Pages Worker, disposable VAPID credentials. No persistent subscription storage; no real messages, incidents or staff access. This disposable pilot is not designed for public production use.
